Here are my top 10 now and then trends from a 90’s childhood that are making a come back.
1. Denim Jackets
If you are as cool as you were in the 90’s, I’m sure your wardrobe would already consist of a denim jacket. Whether it’s cropped, oversize and boxy, slightly frayed or grungy. Its safe to say this trend is here to stay and is the perfect throw on pretty much all year round. Pretty sure this one will revisit over and over so maybe a good investment
Fashion can be comfortable. Teamed with your 90’s friend ‘the denim jacket’ and a cute flippy skirt. You will be ooosssing effortless sport luxe.
3. Berry Lips.
First Kate Moss in the 90’s and now Cara Delevingne have all been spotted wearing a dark berry lip. Do I really need to say more other than you need to GO BUY IT NOW !!
4. Neck chokers
Once a upon a time the stretchy tattoo like choker was an accessory no teen girl would be without. Now chokers are considered a very fashionable must have item to complete any outfit whether it be dressy or casual. Although this one has some lovers and haters.
5. High waisted Jeans ( AKA Mum jeans )
Forget those super low rise jeans that tend to display and ex accentuate love handles and butt cracks. It’s all about your high-waisted ‘mum’ jeans.
6. Frayed Denim
Whether it’s frayed jeans, shorts, skirts or tops. There really isn’t any rules on this one and it can be in-expensive, created at home with your old denim pieces.
With top tiered designers such as Alexander Wang putting their mark of approval on backpacks. It was only a matter of time before we were all going to follow suit. The new styles are more compact and come in beautiful soft leathers or funky natural modernism
Long or short there is no denying this is one of the hottest trends right now. Teamed with your favourite slogan tee and sneakers you will be feeling your youthful self in no time.
I really didn’t think I would see this western inspired trend on rotation again. But since seeing it on the likes of Chiara Ferragni among many other fashion influencers, have to say I’d come around.
10. Silk Cami’s
When I personally think of silk cami’s I instantly think of Alyssa Milano from Charmed. This trend can be worn so many ways for a large array of events. A timeless piece.
Good luck with your fashion revivals
